There is something peaceful about the restlessness Goa has to offer🤍
I went in very skeptical about how everything would turn out on this trip, with a billion things in my itinerary, a bag full of outfits I couldn’t wait to wear and a bunch of plans with a bunch of people(all of whom I didn’t know all that well). Amdist all this chaos it was almost like the first waves washed away every thought that would make this trip any less perfect. I came back home with a half ticked bucket list, clothes that still had the smell of detergent and a bottle of sunscreen I completely forgot to use on the trip. But I also came back with a truckload of memories, pockets full of sand and a gallery full of beautiful people, and I think that makes this trip somewhat of a perfect one🍃
itinerary drop⬇️
• Train : Pune to Goa-Madagaon in Goa Express (Cost-800 approx 3rd AC)
• Scooty rentals (300-400 per day) - Try your hands at renting from the Panjim Bud stop , you should find a lot of options here!
• Stay : Diego’s villa (Airbnb) - Greta host and wonderful property which is super close to the beach
• Day 1 (Afternoon onwards cause our train got supremely delayed)
- Candolim beach (beautiful high tides in April, perfect if you really wanna get wet and play on the beach)
- Lunch at Monico’s beach shack (decently priced but food was average)
- If you reach earlier go to Burger Factory in Morjim for a really cute cafe and some scrumptious and filing burgers, order wisely as the portions are big
- Dancing and Dinner at Cohiba’s - Loved this place so much, great performances by local bands which are so vibey followed by the DJ playing a grey mix of English and Hindi songs
• Day 2
- Scuba diving with West Coast Adventures, do an online booking by contacting them directly to get a tax free deal, also hot tip would be to get a larger group to get bigger discounts (PP: 4500/-)
Scuba was great, the training was extremely professional, we were given practice in Hyatt Centre Candolim after which we headed to Sinquerim beach. The rest of the day was great a ferry ride to the island, jumping into the ocean and floating around with our life jackets, the scuba experience of course and a nice snack to call it a day. Was honestly super fun and exciting.
- Later that day we headed to Aguada fort to catch the sunset and gosh , it was drop dead gorgeous. The fort is extremely picturesque and the views are breathtaking. 10/10 would recommend.
- Dinner was at a place called Patios, food here was really yum, prices were reasonable and the staff was super friendly.
• Day 3
- Now the previous day at Aguada we were disappointed cause we didn’t get to visit this super fun place called Devils finger which is known for its views because the trek to it gets dangerous later in the evening. We happens to wake up late and miss this spot again but ideally if you wanna catch it reach Aguada fort by 4pm in the evening and trek to devils finger to catch the sunset here, you could also probably leave early in the morning and do a early morning trek!
- The last day was a lot of scooty rides all over North Goa!
- First stop was breakfast at Babka, super super aesthetic cafe, cute interiors, yummy cafe food and overall a great experience. - Next we headed to Parra road and just spent some time there enjoying the symmetrical views of the palm trees and the road itself making it a perfect spot for great pictures.
- At this point we were extremely tired and we headed to Orzan beach to just spend some time before we have to head out for lunch and catch our buses back to Bangalore.
- Orzan beach was fun, the crowd here was quite different from the other beach’s up north, beach shacks here are low-key and more laid back, the beach is filled with rocky formations, gentle waves and tinnie tiny crabs scurrying around the beach. I genuinely loved my team here cause it was just very relaxing after all the heat from the traveling!
- After to us we headed back, packed out bags and went to Panjim to catch our buses. You can have a good hearty last meal at Ritz Classic Pato which is extremely close to all the major bus stops for most bus agencies.
okay bai, until next time ✨
